Ok, so now there has been a vast improvement of the 'looks' of the new house. With it being dried in, it is beginning to appear larger than when we were waiting for the slab to be poured. Here are some pictures (front and back of the house) of the rough framing completed. The guys are here today installing the windows and exterior doors, so those will be the next pictures.

The shop is closer to completion also. This past Saturday the final 'color coat' of stucco was applied and we are loving the color... the slate gray metal roof, white trim & garage doors look great with the ' Catalina Blue' walls. It really is a blue-green, but photographs more green. The only exterior tasks remaining are the window shutters and painting the office door and frame.

We have had some very significant progress on our house this week. I've got the week off so I'm getting to be a part of the activites.

The first portion of the framing supplies and trusses were delivered Monday and the framing crew started Tuesday morning at 7:30 am. By 4:30 pm they were finished for the day and had all the inside walls up!

They came back this morning just before the crane arrived and set most of the roof trusses. Here is the first truss being set.

It took only about 1 1/2 hours to get all the major trusses set. They'll be back tomorrow to finish setting the last of the trusses that they don't need a crane to help with and the remaining roofing materials will be delivered so it can be dried in.
