and this is the front...
Other than the windows, the outside of the house looks pretty much the same. We rejected the exterior doors and are ordering them from another company since the ones delivered (and they started to install) were not the quality we wanted or paid for. The new ones should be ready next week.
The inside now has the propane gas lines installed (range, water heater, clothes dryer), the plumbing 'topped out', pocket door frames installed, electrical outlets/switches/fixtures marked, the two air conditioning units installed in the attic, Steve designed the a/c layout and is creating and installing the fiberboard ductwork.
Steve has been involved with each of the sub-contractors through every step of the process. Because of his experience, there are many of the tasks he can do himself. Here he is as we were discussing where electrical outlets, fixtures and switches should be placed on the back porch.

This is looking into the family room from the foyer towards the back porch:

The new septic tanks for both the shop and the house were installed and hooked up to the existing drain field. Which means there is lots of extra dirt to help with the landscaping.

The drywall is getting fixed in the shop so we can finish up the offices -- which includes painting, getting the floor tiled, bathroom fixtures installed and the a/c finished. Once electric service is run to the shop, we can move our furniture from the storage unit in my office space!
